I love my dog Molly. I always tell people she’s the best thing I’ve ever found on Craigslist and I doubt I would ever be that lucky a second time. She’s made me realize how much I love dogs. I’m also a sucker for stuffed animals. Naturally, this means Gund is a brand that I am familiar with. I don’t own any plushies or other Gund toys, but I adore the look of them and I wouldn’t hesitate to buy them just based on the look alone.
However, for at least one lucky person it might be possible to win one instead of buying one, in the GUND “Top Dog” Contest. Not only will people get the chance to win a Gund animal, they will get a limited edition GUND plush in the winning dog’s likeness. A plushie version of your favorite pooch! How cute is that?!?
The Top Dog contest was inspired by the World’s Cutest Dog, Boo. GUND has a stuffed version and now they want to offer fans a chance to win that same treatment and get a plush of their dog, too. If you’re located in the U.S. all you need to do is submit photos of your favorite pooch to the GUND Facebook page in one of the following categories:
Most Beautiful Dog
Ugliest Dog
“Doganista”/Best Dressed Dog
Dog that Most Resembles its Owner
The Grand Prize will receive top dog treatment with a limited edition model of the winning pup. The dog will be available in gift and toy stores in 2013.
If you’re interested in submitting your dog’s photos you can do so on GUND’s Facebook Page.
The contest is currently live and will run until August 15, 2012. The winners will be chosen the week of August 20th and announced the week of August 27th.
Once the entry period ends on August 5, the voting period takes over. Facebook fans of GUND will be able to vote for dogs in each category from August 6-15. Finally, the winners will be chosen August 20 and announced August 27.
If you’re a Pinterest user you have another chance to win on a separate Top Dog contest, with the Most Pinteresting Dog contest via Pinterest. You will need to post your entry (your dog’s photo) to your own Pinterest page and tag @GUNDMostPinterestingDog. Once you’ve done that you should submit the link to GUND via email at MostPinterestingDog@GUND.com.
The winner for the “Most Pinteresting Dog” Contest will be selected based on the number of times the entry is “liked” on the GUNDPinterest board and the winner will receive a selection of GUND products valued at $250 retail.
