I love chocolate. I know that is a huge shock to anyone seeing as I am a woman and chocolate is one of those cliché things that everyone thinks that women love. I am not the type to consume it at all costs though. I have to be in a chocolate mood. Generally, if it is dark chocolate, I am in the mood a lot faster than if its milk or white chocolate, but those have their moments for me, too.

One thing I had never tried in the world of chocolate until now was aerated chocolate. Bubble Chocolate is chocolate that has tons of little bubble all throughout the chocolate bar. The result is a chocolate bar that infuses air, which essentially ensures that you can eat more (results in fewer calories) and that it tastes completely unique.
As the Bubble Chocolate website will tell you, there is a right way and a wrong way to eat Bubble Chocolate. The wrong way is to shove it in your mouth and go to town, like so many people do with various other types of chocolate. The right way is to think of Bubble Chocolate like you would a premium chocolate. You should let it linger on your tongue and begin to melt some before you actually bite into it.
Aerated chocolate has been popular in Europe for years, but the makers of Bubble Chocolate are the first to bring it to the United States. I was particularly interested in the taste of the dark chocolate because I prefer dark chocolate over other forms of chocolate.
I gave everyone in the house a piece of Bubble Chocolate and told them how to eat it so that I could note their reaction. Before I tell you my thoughts I will let you know what everyone else had to say.
CT: He felt it was good. He liked being able to let it melt on his tongue. In fact, he liked it so much I had to remind him that he could chew.
Dominick: He too thought the chocolate tasted good. He wasn’t sure that he would buy it over his favorite brands, but he certainly wasn’t against sampling it or recommending it to others.
Nana: She loved the fact that it was lower in calories. She said she didn’t feel it was as creamy or strong as some of the other dark chocolates she likes, but it would satisfy a craving well enough.
Ashtyn: At first I was on the fence. I agree that it’s not as strong as some dark chocolate and since I prefer that my immediate thought was somewhat uninterested. Upon a second piece I’ve realized that it works well as a chocolate craving staple, but that if I want something truly indulgent this would never work for me. I know some people will absolutely love it, but I felt it lacked the decadence of so many other creamy and supremely dark chocolates that it was hard to compare.
So, it tastes good and as chocolate, especially if you’re looking for a lower calorie option, it works. However, if you’re looking for a mind- blowing, should be orgasmic (in that chocolate eating sense) type of experience, you probably won’t find it with Bubble Chocolate. Then again, you might, but I know that I didn’t. In any case, it’s a middle of the road chocolate. The biggest drawback and the thing that would make me hesitant to recommend it is the price. You can purchase Bubble Chocolate by the case on the Bubble Chocolate website. A case includes 16 bars at $2.50 per bar for $40 plus shipping per box.
When you consider that I didn’t like this any more or less than I would have a Hershey bar, which can be purchased for a lot cheaper, I probably won’t be buying any more of these. However, if you are able to try them in a single bar I would recommend that you give them a try.
