Birthday Bash Review: Cloud B’s Twilight Sea Turtle

Lil B and his Cloud B's Twilight Sea Turtle

As an Aunt, it’s important to get those presents that Lil B will just love more than anything he currently has. Of course, at times I have to be a responsible adult and get him things that I know he needs, too. One of those things is a night light. Lil B dreads sleeping in his room because he doesn’t like it dark if he is alone. Last year I bought him a Pirates of the Caribbean night light and while it was cute enough to keep him occupied during the day, at night he still wanted to sleep with his dad.

Well, about a month ago I discovered Cloud B. Cloud B offers some of the most adorable kids products that you will find. They specialize in animal night lights, and soft, plush animals that your kids can cuddle and sleep with. They even offer some cuddly dolphins that offer soothing sounds. Had Lil B been younger I think I would have asked to review the Gentle Giraffe or the Dozy Dolphin. However, he’s a little bit older and since he is having trouble sleeping alone, I thought the Twilight Sea Turtle would be just what he needed.

The Twilight Sea Turtle works for both boys and girls. It’s one of those products that can easily go from one child to the next and keep both of them happy without much effort on your part. Of course, if you have a girly girl in your family she might prefer the Twilight Lady Bug, which is also completely cute!

Lil B again with his Cloud B's Twilight Sea Turtle

When I got it in the mail, I wanted to open it and check it out. I had to convince myself to wait, since it was for Lil B’s birthday. There is just something awesome about a magical sea turtle that turns your ceiling into a night sky. Not only is it cool, it removes the need for traditional night lights, which don’t always appease the smaller crowd.

The Sea Turtle has a hard shell and a soft inner body. It’s not exactly something you would see a child cuddling with, but it’s light enough to carry around and soft enough for a snuggle every now and again. In most cases, it just sits on the table by the bed, and around bedtime, when it starts getting dark, the lights are switched off and the Turtle goes on. You can pick from three colors to illuminate your shell; blue, green, and aquamarine. All of them are pretty though I think I am partial to the third option. Lil B hasn’t picked just yet. He seems to like them all.

There are three buttons on the bottom end of the turtle that turn on the constellations and the other light features. A book, which Lil B really enjoyed offers information on endangered species. You also receive an adoption certificate for your new Sea Turtle and a constellation/star guide. You will need batteries, but they come in the package so you shouldn’t need to worry about that for quite some time. Of course, the best part is the ability to see your entire ceiling lit up like a night sky.

Lil B with the Cloud B's Twilight Sea Turtle

These snazzy Sea Turtles from Cloud B can be purchased through their website for less than $40 a piece. Considering their usefulness and the wide age range (I’m considering buying one for me) I have to say that these are well worth the cost. Lil B loves his new Sea Turtle and the way his bedroom ceiling looks when its time for bed. Now when it’s bedtime he doesn’t fight the process of going into his room. If you’re having this issue, you just might find Cloud B and one of their illuminating animals to be just what you and your child needs.

Wow, how cool! I so want to get one of these for Emma. She hates to be alone at night. Well alone at anymore, but at night it’s worse. I think a lot of it is due to not being able to get out of bed on her own :0( Hopefully sometime I can save up some money to get her one! I sure hope it helps! Thanks for the info Ash!

That looks really cool — I want one for my room, never mind as a nightlight for a kid….. :-)
