All Wander Wear products are tested to be both kid and parent friendly. The products feature Whizzly™, the company’s fun purple monster who loves to wander!
Wander Wear was founded by experienced businesswoman and mompreneur, Alyssa Dver. In 2002, Dver attended a Boston Red Sox game at crowded Fenway Park with her then 3-year-old son and niece. It seemed logical that the children should be equipped with her cell phone number to assist the children if one got lost. However, there were no practical ways to do this.
After three years of research and consistent consumer demand, Dver decided to leave her senior executive position at a public software company and focus full-time on Wander Wear. Now as the National Director of The Center to Prevent Lost Children (CPLC) she remains a chief advisor to Wander Wear.
Parent Locator Tags
Having your cell phone number on your child is one the most important things you can do to keep them safe in a public place. The information should be easily accessible by an assisting person. Wander Wear Tags make this easy to do.
Each Wander Wear tag is 2 ½” in diameter and made of plastic. The non-removable loops are durable plastic and the clips are metal. Parents/caregivers can write cell phone numbers on the back using a pen. Using a permanent marker ensures it will stay on even in water. The tags are waterproof and reusable (even if they accidentally go in the washing machine!). Featuring Whizzly, the Wander Wear purple monster, kids love to wear the tags. They can be clipped on the child’s clothing or tucked inside a pocket if the child is older. Clip the tag on the child’s back if they are very young and will play with it.

“When Whizzly Wanders” is a full-color children’s paperback book that helps teach both children what to do if they get lost. Kid-lovable ‘Whizzly’ (the Wander Wear purple monster), helps explain to children how they can have safe fun when they are out away from home. Written in easy-to-read, children’s rhyme, “When Whizzly Wanders” is an entertaining way for both child and parent/caregiver to gain the knowledge and confidence to be better prepared when going out to public places.
Wander Wear Shirts
Wander Wear Easy-to-Spot t-shirts make finding and identifying a small child much easier. When in a crowded place, it helps the parent/caregiver keep an eye on an active child. It also helps uniquely describe the child if other people need to help find a lost child.
