Toy Review: Kid K’Nex Undersea Pals Building Set

Kid K'NexI have never found another set of building blocks, shapes, etc. that are quite as cute as the Kid K’Nex Undersea Pals building set. I pulled out the chubby, blue case, opened it up (with its child friendly latch), took the pieces out of the plastic bag they come in, poured them into their case, and let my nephew son, and life partner, Dominick, go at it. The three boys had so much fun with these crazy wacky shapes and their ages are 3, 13, and 27 just for reference. You just cannot dislike this set of K’Nex. They’re just so much fun!

It doesn’t matter how old or young you are, building with the K’Nex building pieces found in the Kid K’Nex Undersea Pals building set is worth the time spent. It’s a great time for the entire family to bond together and the amazing creations by the boys (and myself) meant we spent the day taking plenty of pictures! If your child likes to build, then you need to get them the Kid K’Nex Undersea Pals building set. The pieces are durable, thick enough to not have to worry about a choking hazard, and easy to snap together. What more can a parent ask for?

Requirements:
Kid K’Nex Undersea Pals is recommended for children that are 3 years and up. While Kid K’Nex Undersea Pals is recommended for young builders anyone over 3 will enjoy this building set. Nothing is required to get this to work. Just bring along your imagination and have a well lit place to work. If you have all of these things then you’re set. The pieces that are included in this set include eyeball pieces, long thick cylindrical, tube-like pieces, and half circles. Each of the pieces are multi-colored with 48 different pieces to this set. There is also a manual that is included, which can be used to create designs with step-by-step instructions.

Basics:
There are specific designs that can be made with the Kid K’Nex Undersea Pals Building Set. The boys all worked to make the penguin and then they made designs of their own. There are various sizes to the shapes to allow for colorful, multi-shaped designs. The eyeballs were my favorite parts because they gave each creation a life of its own. The Kid K’Nex Undersea Pals Building Set will lead to hours of fun for anyone who plays with this set. These are excellent for young children, especially because the parts are so big and they’re incredibly easy to put together. The durability factor makes Kid K’Nex the perfect building tool for young ones, hands down.

In Depth Information:
The K’Nex Undersea Pals Building Set is a snap to put together and take apart. We thought that regular K’Nex were disability friendly, but Kid K’Nex are even easier to use. Any child with a disability (mobility impairment, fine motor skills problem, etc.) can enjoy using Kid K’Nex. Any child, disability or not, will enjoy these toys. It doesn’t take much force to snap the Kid K’Nex pieces in place and take them apart.

The Kid K’Nex Undersea Pals Building Set is great for helping children with their fine motor skills, which are still developing during the preschool and early elementary years. Inspiration and creativity can lead to role-playing with the characters every child creates. The Kid K’Nex sets also help with child manipulative skills, social relationship skills and cognitive development. Best of all, Kid K’Nex Undersea Pals Building Set is fun to play with and it stimulates the imagination. Fun and educational toys are always the best toys you can buy your child since they learn as they play.

Bottom Line:
The Kid K’Nex Undersea Pals Building Set is a great toy for kids of all ages. While I highly recommend them for small children, because they are more versatile than the blocks for older kids and they allow for more creativity without frustration, older kids will have fun with them, too. I would have loved it if they had K’Nex when I was a kid, but at least I can enjoy watching my nephew, son, and the big kid in my life enjoy making fun undersea creatures with this set. I highly recommend this toy.
