Nickelodeon Home Entertainment and Li Kids are pleased to announce the release of Avatar: The Last Airbender – The Complete Book 2 Collection. The DVD Box Set will be available on September 11, 2007. You can purchase it at your local retailer, such as Walmart or Circuit City or you can purchase it online at Amazon or another online retailer.
Avatar: The Last Airbender follows the life of Aang. Aang is not only the avatar (the only person to be able to bend all four elements – air, water, fire, and earth), but he’s the last surviving member of the air benders. As the avatar, it is Aang’s job to right a terrible wrong.
After disappearing for 100 years, he comes back to a completely different world. This is a world in which the Fire Nation is trying to take over. In fact, many of the cities in the Earth and Water Kingdoms have Fire nation troops already running them. Aang is the only one who can defeat the Fire Nation, as it is the job of the Avatar to maintain peace in all four Kingdoms, but as a 12 year old boy he still has a lot to learn.
Aang must travel the world to learn how to bend water, earth, and fire. Only then will he be ready to take on the fire nation. On his travels, he is accompanied by his friends, a powerful water bender named Katara, her warrior brother, Sokka, and a blind earth bender, Toph. Aang travels with his longtime companion, his flying bison, Appa, though his travels are often plagued by troubles from the Fire Nation, who attempt to capture the Avatar.
Avatar: The Last Airbender first debuted on Nickelodeon in 2005. Since then, the show has garnered an audience of as many as 4.4 million per episode. Avatar: The Last Airbender – The Complete Book 2 Collection comes out just ten days prior to the start of the third season of the show. The third season will debut on September 21, 2007 and is anxiously awaited by loyal fan that have been waiting for the new season. Avatar: The Last Bender is also shown quite frequently during the Nick Toons television lineup (in reruns).
Avatar: The Last Airbender features a cast of talented actors and voice actors including Mae Whitman, Zach Tyler, Grey DeLisle, Dante Bosco, Jack De Sena, Mako, Dee Bradley Baker, and Jessie Flower.

The Second Season explores life in the Earth Kingdom. This is a five disc Box Set. The first four DVDs include 5 chapters of each book with 20 chapters in total. The fifth DVD contains extras including interviews with the creators and M. Night Shymalan, who is working on an upcoming Avatar movie, a feature entitled “The Essence of Bending” with Bryan Konietzko and Sifu Kisu, , Avatar Super Deformed Shorts, and an animated graphic novel entitled “Escape from the Spirit World”.
