I had already seen The Suite Life of Zack and Cody before I had the chance to review this DVD. The episodes I saw were great! The show is absolutely hilarious! It makes me laugh so hard every time I watch the show. I had the chance to review a copy of The Suite Life of Zack and Cody – Sweet Suite Victory. This includes three episodes where you get to watch Zack, Cody, Maddie, London, and the rest of the gang having a blast in each episode.
The Suite Life of Zack and Cody is a show about identical twins named Zack and Cody (Dylan and Cole Sprouse from Big Daddy). They live in the Tipton Hotel with their mom. At the Tipton, they have all the fun they can, which often leads to trouble. They are friends with Maddie, who works at the hotel and Zack is in love with her. They are also friends with London. She’s a rich girl who lives in the penthouse of the hotel. The boys also have their school friends over occasionally.
In the three episodes of the Sweet Suite Victory DVD, you get to see three different sides of Zack and Cody. The first episode is a Battle of the Bands episode. Zack and Cody are in a band called Rock Squared. Maddie is in a band called Waterworks with the Tipton Hotel’s lifeguard. Zack and Cody get into a fight. Cody is mad because Zack cares more about clothes then the song they are singing, which Cody wrote. Zack is mad at Cody because he’s too bossy.

The Backyardigans are your typical kids. They want to have fun. In this movie, they use their own backyard and their imaginations to create their own adventure. This adventure has them going on an International Super Secret, Super Spy mission. The three good guys are Pablo the Penguin aka Agent Secret, Tasha the Hippo aka Miss T, and the Kangaroo, Austin. The bad guys are Uniqua, the unique animal with spots, aka the Lady in Pink, and her henchman, Tyrone the Moose.
In this movie, Miss T sends Agent Secret on a mission. He will have to dance his way through three countries in order to acquire three canisters, filled with secret items. The first item is in London. He must go to a village near Big Ben. He meets his secret confidante (Austin), who gives him a banana split. In it, he finds his instructions to find the first container. He finds it easily enough, and dances to release the canister. The Lady in Pink tries to stop him, but Agent Secret gets away. This continues through finding all three canisters. However, the Lady in Pink is evil. She will stop at nothing to get the canisters for herself.

iCarly looks like a great show. It’s like a show about a web show. The web show is also called iCarly. When you first watch it, you notice that Carly is a nice girl. She wants to be responsible and still have fun at the same time. Carly is played by Miranda Cosgrove. She was on Drake and Josh and in the movie Yours, Mine, and Ours. She’s a good actress and makes the show seem fun.
iCarly is about a girl named Carly. She has a big brother, Spencer, the artist. Her parents are soldiers so Spencer and Carly live alone. Carly lives across the hall from Freddie. Freddie is in love with Carly, but Carly doesn’t love him back. Freddie is really good with technology. He’s Carly’s go to guy whenever she needs a technology geek.
Carly has a best friend named Sam. Sam always gets in trouble. In the first episode of iCarly, Sam gets Carly in trouble. She drew their teacher as a rhinoceros and Carly takes the blame because Sam was already suspended once. Carly is punished by having to tape talent show auditions on Saturday. Then she had to give the tape to her teacher to review.

Yo Gabba Gabba gets in your head. When you think of Yo Gabba Gabba you think of something that is going to be really educational. Yo Gabba Gabba is very good for toddlers and babies. Nickelodeon has geared the show towards kids over the age of 1. Anyone can learn from it though, even someone my age (which is twelve). Yo Gabba Gabba is a fun show to watch. It has a lot of colors, monsters, and is flashy.
In the episode I reviewed, which was called “Eat” you learned what to eat from the monsters and the human who interacts with them who is known as DJ Lance. When DJ Lance says the magic words, “Yo Gabba Gabba”, the monsters come to life. The monsters are much smaller than DJ Lance though. They use magic to pass objects between their miniature world and the world of DJ Lance. The monsters are stored in a case that looks like a boom box when they are not alive.
You also learn how to clean up after you eat a snack, how to brush your teeth, and how to try new foods even if you think you might not like them. The show is filled with music. Music happens with each of the activities. For example, the monsters sing about how to brush you teeth. On screen, you also get to see examples of how it is done. So you have an audio and visual source for learning in different ways. If a kid is more visual they will like the picture examples. If a child is auditory they will learn from listening to the words of the music.
Yo Gabba Gabba has kids who are maybe two or three. They look about the same age as my little cousin who is three. They all love to dance and they show it as the boogie to the groove. There is also a special guest who teaches a dance. Elijah Wood was on this episode and he taught a dance called the Puppet Master. It was funny to see him dancing as he acted like a puppet.

Finding a show that a pre-teen or even a teenager can relate to and enjoy that still has good, clean humor and a potential moral message is difficult in this day in age. However, as the parents of a 12 year old (who is approaching 13 faster then we’re ready to accept) we believe Nickelodeon has succeeded with its new Nicktoons series, Tak and the Power of Juju, which will be airing its premiere episode on August 31, 2007. While Nick has the show listed as Y7. The humor is a little more mature then a younger child might be able to understand. While I would ideally suggest the show for an 8-15 year old audience anyone child or adult will enjoy this all-CGI series.Tak and the Power of Juju evolved from a video game that Nickelodeon developed with the same name. The story follows the life of a teenage shaman’s assistant in the Pupununu Village, named Tak. One day, the mysterious Jujus grant Tak a very special and advanced power known as the Power of Juju. Considering Tak’s age and inability to control or use the power properly, Tak is led on many adventures. He also manages to get into quite a bit of trouble along the way.
Tak is voiced by Hal Sparks. Kids may recognize him from Dude Where’s My Car, VH1, and most recently as the host of the Nicktoons Network Animation Festival. Hal brings Tak to life in a way so that kids, teens, and adults can relate to the character all while having a good time and enjoying the cartoon. The Evans clan had the opportunity to review this television show, prior to its premiere. Needless to say, the entire family (all thee of us) loved it.
